IF WE ALL DID THE THINGS WE ARE CAPABLE OF DOING, WE WOULD LITERALLY ASTOUND OURSELVES. ~ Thomas Edison

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Welcome to the new school year.  I am very excited to be your child's science teacher.  We are going to learn a lot together.  Feel free to navigate our class website. It continues to grow as more helpful links are added.   Some important links of interest are the Homework page and Table of Contents, that gives you updates on assignments.  The Course Guides contain some information from class as well links of interest that relate to the material being covered at the moment.

Dear Students,

Every year students say that science is a fun class because of all the labs and activities that you get to do.  You will have more fun if you know the vocabulary that goes with each activity.

If you went to a rock concert and the band sang in a language you didn't know you would enjoy it but you would not get the full meaning of what the song was trying to tell you.  Knowing the words would give you more joy.

Science is a class that requires a lot of memorization of new vocabulary in order to understand and communicate the concepts we will explore.  Roughly 10 new words will be introduced each week.  You will be expected to learn this words and be able to use them in sentences and explain what they mean in your own words.   I recommend you spend at least 5 minutes with these words each night in addition to your homework. There will be a quiz or test on these words and the concepts every Friday.

Science Folders are important because they are 25% of your grade. They contain your stamps for all your class work and homework which is listed on the Table of Contents.  Keep it in order and up to date.
